Impact Internships would like to thank and recognize the additional 550+ students who completed our Health Science Immersion Program (HSIP) in Spring 2020, Summer 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 who are not pictured or listed on this page. 

 

Over the course of 2019 we had the great honor and pleasure of working with around 100 incredible Southern CA high school students in the first three sessions of our Health Science Immersion Program (HSIP). In July 2019, HSIP took place over two weeklong sessions at Cal State LA’s university campus as we launched the program’s first season. After many months of planning and preparation we were delighted to see the high level of engagement and passion our first two summer cohorts of students showed toward the curriculum of speakers, workshops and the group project. During this Fall 2019 we launched a weekend version of HSIP at the USC Health Sciences Campus that served more students over the course of the 9 Saturday afternoon sessions. Students have come from many high schools all over Southern CA, with numerous high schools represented. Because of their experiences we hope to provide the opportunity of HSIP to many more high school students through our virtual HSIP sessions in coming years.
