Sunday, September 29th Applicant Update
Thank you to all students who applied to our Fall 2024 Engineering Immersion Program. From Sunday, September 29th to Tuesday, October 1st we will be working to send out acceptance emails to as many students as possible. Afterward, later in the week we may take additional students off the waiting list. We know several high schools were only able to share the program in the final days of the recruitment period, and decided to extend an application grace period until the evening of Wednesday, October 2nd so all students have a fair chance to apply. Application decisions are largely based on the number of spaces available with high school juniors and seniors given higher priority because this could be their last chance to enroll in the program. We highly encourage students who do not hear back from us to reapply for the program in the future and we will run additional sessions of the 9 Saturday afternoon program in Spring 2025. The dates and details of the program will be updated on our website by October 8th.

Fall 2024 E-IP Student Application Information:
All high school students (grades 9 – 12) in the United States who have an interest in the program material are eligible to apply for E-IP. We want Fall 2024 E-IP to be an enriching and high quality program that all students from any background would feel proud to attend. We also want our program to be accessible and practical to the widest array of students possible. To achieve both of these goals, we have divided our program applications into sections. Section One consists of students in our program who meet the family income guidelines for the Free and Reduced Lunch program for the current 2024 – 25 school year which can be accessed here (https://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/nu/rs/scales2425.asp). Receiving free lunch at your high school does not necessarily mean a student meets the Section One family income qualification due to changes in many school district meal policies. Section One applicants who are accepted into the program will attend at no cost. Section One students can include students who attend a private school but meet the family guidelines. Section Two consists of all other high school students. Those applying for Section One will need to submit a form of income verification before final acceptance into the program. All times and dates are in Pacific Standard Time (PST) unless otherwise stated. We will respond to your application by sending an email from applications@impactinternships.org to the email address listed in your application. Questions can be emailed to us at applications@impactinternships.org. We recommend applying early if possible as we have limited space.
